First 1/2 over!
Did time pass this quickly when we were kids? If so, it sure didn't feel like it. In January, I proclaimed some affirmations for myself and in good Tae Jo fashion, it has taken me six months to master them. If you're curious to know what they were, you can find them HERE! Now that I'm done with those, I am finally ready to proclaim some new ones. After all, your girl has to stay on her toes with the new goals. Hopefully, I can achieve these before the new year, but really, I am not rushing myself. So here we go.....
1) Push thy pride to the side. Normally, I am very humble, but when someone tries to embarrass me, my pride tends to HULK UP and my words are used to crush them. I have to control my urge for vengeance and learn how to control myself when others do things to take me out of my element.
2) Defeat the spirit of procrastination. I am a world class procrastinator. If there is ever an award for this, I would win, no doubt. And while I have created masterpieces out of my last-minuteness (an awesome word creation), my visions can no longer afford to sit on the back burner.
3) Lose all notions of parenthood. Children are insane little people who were created to push limits (my personal definition). There is no perfect way to mold them. Focus on keeping them alive, healthy, and happy. Everything else is negotiable.
Feel free to share your affirmations or any feedback in the comments below! Have a great weekend!
